PwC Peru appoints new tax partner

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Peru has announced the appointment of Javier Barrios as a partner in tax consulting.

“His experience and commitment will help us to continue fulfilling our purpose of generating trust in society and solving important problems,” the firm said in a statement.

Javier joined PwC Peru as a tax director in 2017 and had previously held the positions of senior associate at Payet, Rey, Cauvi, Pérez Abogados, and as an international associate at PwC Chile.

He holds an LLM from Harvard Law School and a law degree from the Universidad de Lima.

In addition to his work as a tax consultant, he is also a professor of international taxation at the Universidad de Lima.


PricewaterhouseCoopers is a British multinational professional services brand of firms, operating as partnerships under the PwC brand. It is the second-largest professional services network in the world and is considered one of the Big Four accounting firms, along with Deloitte, EY and KPMG.
