Primo Capital and CDP Venture Capital lead €3.2m seed round in RARA Factory

Primo Capital SGR S.p.A., acting on behalf of the Primo Climate fund, and CDP Venture Capital SGR S.p.A., acting on behalf of the Accelerators Fund, have led a seed investment round of up to €3.2 million in RARA Factory S.r.l., a deep-tech spin-off of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, primarily active in the development of innovative and sustainable materials.

Primo Capital SGR S.p.A., acting on behalf of the Primo Climate fund, and CDP Venture Capital SGR S.p.A., acting on behalf of the Accelerators Fund, have led a seed investment round of up to €3.2 million in RARA Factory S.r.l., a deep-tech spin-off of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, primarily active in the development of innovative and sustainable materials through the combination of condensed matter physics, network theory and artificial intelligence.

The round also saw the participation of a group of business angels led by Alberto Baban, President of Fondazione Nord Est.

RARA Factory was assisted on the transaction by Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici, with a team led by equity partner Luigi Arturo Bianchi and comprising senior associate Gianmarco Melillo, associate Sabrina Marino and junior associate Gaia Perona, for M&A and corporate law matters.

Primo Capital and CDP Venture Capital were assisted by Alpeggiani Avvocati Associati, with a dedicated venture capital team led by Francesco Torelli, Partner of the Corporate M&A Department, and also including lawyers Serena Nasuti and Diana Passoni.
