PHH & Infinity Vertigo launch Austria’s first AI-powered multi-partner company formation platform

While online company formation is not new in Austria, the ability to establish a GmbH with multiple shareholders without ever setting foot in a law firm is. That’s where firmaDigital.at stands out: blending AI-driven automation with tailored legal guidance from PHH, the platform is designed to serve the evolving needs of startups, SMEs and digitally savvy founders. firmaDigital.at is helping redefine how Austrian entrepreneurs launch their businesses – fast, smart, and fully online.

What began as a casual summer lunch in Vienna has turned into a full-fledged legal-tech breakthrough: In just a few months, Philip Rosenauer, Partner at PHH Rechtsanwält:innen, and Felix Häusler, founder of Infinity Vertigo, transformed a bold idea into Austria’s first platform for digitally founding a multi-partner GmbH: firmaDigital.at.

This new platform redefines how Austrian entrepreneurs launch their businesses – fast, smart, and fully online. “We wanted to offer more than just a legal minimum. The goal was a truly thought-out tool that supports founders throughout the lifecycle of their startup,” says Rosenauer.

One platform, many founders, zero hassle

Traditionally, Austrian company formation requires navigating a maze of steps – legal counsel, notary appointments, and bank visits – often stretched over weeks. With firmaDigital.at, founders can complete the process in just a few days thanks to seamless document automation, name-checking via AI, and simplified online workflows. Even notary appointments are now digitized through integration with Vienna-based startup Notarity.

“Think of it as a one-stop-shop,” says Häusler. “From shareholder setup and contract generation to company registry entry and digital notary signing – it’s all integrated.”

And it’s cost-efficient, too: the full legal + digital service comes in at around €1,800 net, excluding notary fees – a competitive offer compared to conventional multi-partner GmbH formation.

Human lawyers + Smart AI = Scalable legal solutions

At the core of the platform lies the human-AI collaboration. Once founders input key data, firmaDigital.at generates custom-tailored contracts based on their needs – with PHH lawyers reviewing and finalizing everything to ensure full legal compliance.

Rather than replacing legal expertise, the platform amplifies it. The initiative is a strategic opportunity to expand reach among digital-first clients while streamlining repetitive tasks. “We see firmaDigital.at not as a threat to junior lawyers, but as a tool for opening new markets,” explains Rosenauer. “These are clients we might never have reached otherwise.”

Next Up: FlexCos and Beyond

Currently, firmaDigital.at supports GmbH formations – still Austria’s most common legal entity – but its roadmap is already expanding. In 2025, the platform is supporting FlexCo formations, a newly introduced corporate structure for startups, and eventually, employment contracts and other corporate services.

“The turtle is yesterday, the leopard is today,” says the platform’s homepage. For Austria’s entrepreneurs, firmaDigital.at might just be the fast lane into the future. With ambitions to remain a first mover in the DACH legal tech space, PHH and Infinity Vertigo are betting on a future where legal services are just a few clicks away – and still backed by robust legal expertise.
