Pérez-Llorca arrives in Lisbon, hiring six new partners and a counsel for the new office

With these new hires, the firm now boasts almost 20 professionals in Portugal who are experts in different matters, coordinated by Gonçalo Capela Godinho.

Two months after announcing its intention to start operating in Portugal, Pérez-Llorca has taken another step forward in its internationalisation strategy and in the process of setting up in Lisbon by hiring six new partners, a counsel and a group of ten lawyers. This team, coordinated by Gonçalo Capela Godinho, who joined Pérez-Llorca in July, will enable the firm to further increase its capacity in the Iberian Peninsula to advise clients on their matters and disputes.  

Rodrigo Falcão Nogueira becomes a partner of the firm’s Corporate/M&A, with extensive experience in M&A transactions and private equity investments, in multi-jurisdictional corporate restructurings for multinationals and international investment institutions, as well as in corporate governance and corporate finance matters. He was Head of Corporate / M&A at RRP Advogados.

Carlos Vaz de Almeida joins as a Banking & Finance partner and will focus on banking, energy and infrastructure. He was the head of the Finance, Energy and Infrastructure area at RRP Advogados.

Manuel Cordeiro Ferreira also joins as a Banking & Finance partner and will focus his activity on capital markets, financial services and investment funds. Before joining Pérez-Llorca, Manuel led the Capital Markets and Financial Services team at RRP Advogados.

Inês Palma Ramalho is named Banking & Finance partner and was a partner at Sérvulo & Associados in the Finance and Governance department and a specialised member of the Fintech and Compliance teams.

Inês Arruda joins as an Employment, Compensation and Benefits partner. Before joining Pérez-Llorca, she was the partner in charge of the Employment Law department at Vasconcelos Arruda & Associados.

Rita Leandro Vasconcelos is appointed to Pérez-Llorca’s Lisbon office as a partner in the Regulatory and Competition practice. Before joining Pérez-Llorca she was a partner at Cruz Vilaça Advogados, a Portuguese firm specialising in EU and competition law.

Nuno Faria has joined Pérez-Llorca’s Portuguese team as Counsel. Faria has over 20 years of experience advising on cross-border transactions in M&A, project finance and banking, with a particular focus on the infrastructure and energy sectors.

Alongside these professionals, a group of ten lawyers of different specialities and seniorities will join the firm, who, coordinated by Gonçalo Capela Godinho, will begin to shape Pérez- Llorca’s Lisbon office.
