Paul Hastings Bolsters PE Practice with DLA Piper Hire

Paul Hastings has announced the hiring of DLA Piper's Anu Balasubramanian, who will join the firm to lead its private equity practice. She focuses on complex international transactional work for a range of sponsors. 

Firm chair Seth Zachary was full of praise for the new recruit, commenting: “Anu is an acclaimed leader in the market with strong relationships with institutional and corporate clients across multiple sectors and geographies. Our private equity practice has developed a strong presence globally and her arrival will position us to increase market share in Europe, which is a key strategic imperative for the firm.”

Her hiring comes soon after the firm welcomed privacy and cybersecurity partner Sarah Pearce, who joined from Cooley. The firm also recently announced that revenues for its London office had grown by 25 percent in the past year, fueled by key roles in the restructuring of The Cooperative Bank and acting for Irish telecommunications business eir in the €3.5 billion acquisition of a majority stake in the company by NJJ Telecom Europe.
