OMT – Officine Meccaniche Tortonesi, a company controlled by Autosped G and part of Gruppo Gavio, has completed the acquisition of the business unit of Sacim, a historic metalworking company founded in 1920 and specialising in the production of tank vehicles for road, naval and railway transport. The transaction was completed within the framework of the judicial liquidation proceedings affecting Sacim.

The acquisition represents a strategic step in consolidating OMT's presence in the sector of tank semi-trailers for the transport of petroleum products, chemicals, gas and waste. Through the acquisition, OMT expands its production capacity, strengthens its industrial positioning and contributes to the safeguarding of approximately 70 highly skilled jobs, while preserving a heritage of technical expertise developed over more than a century of activity.

The transaction was coordinated by GeALex as lead counsel, with a team led by Gabriele Piccinini and Piercarlo Castellano, covering strategic aspects, negotiations, due diligence and coordination of the contractual documentation. Administrative matters were handled by Alice Merletti, while tax matters were handled by Giovanni Denicolò of Gatti & Denicolò. PCA Broker assisted with insurance and risk management activities.

OMT was assisted on all Golden Power regulatory matters by Greco Vitali Associati, with a team comprising Matteo L. Vitali, Andrea Chiloiro and Matteo Miramondi.
