Lavín Abogados & Consultores Appoints New Corporate Partner
Lavín Abogados & Consultores strengthened its team with the appointment of Pedro Pablo Gutiérrez Barros as new corporate partner. With this hire, the firm has expanded and enhanced its practice, while including new areas, in commercial law and regulatory compliance.
Gutiérrez specializes in comprehensive counseling to local and cross-border companies in different industries and areas, especially on corporate, commercial and tax matters. He has supported clients on their day-to-day operations, acted as an external legal counsel and compliance expert, advised on corporate governance and restructuring of business and companies, and developed a practice in mergers & acquisitions (legal due diligence, SPAs and shareholder’s agreements).
The firm is currently led by Julio Lavín, a specialist in environmental and maritime concessions issues, the firm’s other partners are Rodrigo Lavín, Andrés Del Fávero and Roberto Sepúlveda. The office is acknowledged for its prowess in environmental matters, renewable energies, and tax law.
With over 15 years of experience, Gutiérrez graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, holds a master’s degree in tax Law from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. In addition, he is a chartered director from the London Institute of Directors (IoD).
He previously worked at EY where he served as a senior manager and leader of EY Law Chile. Prior to that, he was an associate at several law offices including Morales & Besa, Arteaga Gorziglia, and Barros & Errázuriz Abogados.
