KPMG promotes four partners in Mexico

KPMG has announced the promotion of four partners in its tax and legal practice in Mexico.

The new partners are Azucena Cortés, Roberto Carlos López Pérez, Guillermo López Corral and Daniel G.

“Our new partners are a cornerstone of the KPMG story, and an example of integrity, excellence and courage,” the firm said in a statement.

Azucena has been with the firm for 10 years and was formerly a director of global mobility services, Managing international clients, including coordination and invoicing processes with foreign offices, net to gross calculations, as well as compliance services, and adjusting global corporate policies to Mexico’s regulatory and process framework, among other services.

Prior to joining KPMG she worked as a manager at PwC.

Roberto has been a tax director at KPMG since 2011 where he most recently held the position of director of corporate tax at the firm’s Guadalajara offices, and he holds a master’s degree in taxation from the Centro Universitario de Ciencias Económico-Administrativas at the Universidad de Guadalajara.

Guillermo has also been with KPMG in Mexico for 10 years, where he has held the position of tax director, and is an accountancy graduate from the Universidad Panamericana.

For his part, Daniel joined KPMG Mexico in 2009 in the corporate and international tax area and has worked on issues of investment tax structures related to the real estate sector, energy and infrastructure, and has actively participated in the review of financial models for investment and return-on-investment.

KPMG Mexico has a total of 200 partners and more than 3,000 professionals spread across 18 offices, providing audit, tax and advisory services to a wide range of companies across multiple sectors.
