Loris Bovo has rejoined Gianni & Origoni as a partner in the litigation and arbitration department at the Milan office. Bovo arrives with a team of three associates, further reinforcing the firm’s dispute resolution capabilities.
Bovo previously practiced at Gianni & Origoni from 2009 to 2012 and has acquired extensive experience advising national and international clients on a wide range of contentious and pre-litigation proceedings at leading international firms, including Linklaters and, most recently, Ashurst. He specialises in banking, corporate, insolvency, and commercial litigation, appearing in both ordinary and urgent proceedings, and possesses a solid background in domestic and international arbitration. Joining the firm alongside him are associates Chiara Maria Santi, Alessia Isgrò, and Sara Ballini.
With the arrival of Bovo and his team, the litigation and arbitration group at Gianni & Origoni now comprises 75 professionals, including 14 partners. This expansion follows other significant lateral hires in recent years, such as Cecilia Buresti and Stefano Rossi along with their respective teams.
Antonio Auricchio and Paolo Gnignati, co-heads of the litigation and arbitration area, stated that Bovo’s return aligns with a targeted growth strategy in key litigation segments, noting an increasingly sophisticated demand from clients, particularly in banking, NPLs, and corporate disputes. They added that his experience will further consolidate the Milanese practice and enhance the firm’s oversight of complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation and its arbitration offering.
Loris Bovo noted that returning to Gianni & Origoni allows him to develop an integrated litigation offering that combines technical rigour with a strategic approach to meet the business needs of clients within an international and collaborative environment.
