Fiamma Verde acquires ready-to-build biomethane project in Lombardy

Fiamma Verde has continued its growth strategy within the renewable energy sector by acquiring 100% of the shares in a vehicle holding a strategic biomethane project in Lombardy. The project is classified as ready-to-build and has already been admitted to the GSE (Gestore dei Servizi Energetici) auctions, ensuring access to national incentive schemes.

The transaction marks a significant step in the consolidation and expansion of Fiamma Verde’s biomethane platform in Italy. The acquisition of this fully permitted asset strengthens the company’s portfolio of ongoing initiatives and supports its objective of scaling structured growth in the bioenergy market while contributing to national energy transition targets.

Bip Law and Tax assisted Fiamma Verde throughout the acquisition, with a primary focus on legal due diligence. The team was led by equity partner Marco Muscettola, supported by senior professional Matteo Vagnoli for corporate and real estate profiles. Regulatory, urban planning, and incentive matters were managed by senior manager Nicoletta Bezzi and manager Federica Labanca.

The internal team at Fiamma Verde played a key role in the operation, with Valentina Mercati coordinating origination and business development activities. The legal department was represented by General Counsel Eleonora degli Abbati and Counsel Ludovica Lano.

The sellers were advised by CDI Global Italy on the structuring of the transaction, with a team coordinated by partner Michele Positano.
