Daniel Acevedo, a former partner in the legaltech area at Ecija in Bogotá, has launched Bredia, a boutique consulting firm specializing in the transformation of the management and operations of legal and tax departments in law firms and companies

The Bogotá-based firm is focused on Latin America and Spain, aiming to support its clients in their operational transformation, particularly in the adoption of artificial intelligence, by combining strategy, software engineering, and AI.

Bredia's founding team, led by Daniel Acevedo, has spearheaded projects in organizations such as Bancolombia, Grupo Modelo Brewery, and Coca-Cola FEMSA, among others.

The firm has added Bibiana Martínez Camelo, former manager of legal operations and innovation at Bancolombia, as an expert consultant for corporate legal department transformation projects, and is supported by a team of senior consultants with regional experience.

Bredia operates under a ‘Design, Build, Run’ model: it designs the transformation, builds the technological solutions that enable it, and operates those solutions continuously to ensure sustainable results over time.

Bredia's offering for law firms focuses on strategies for adopting artificial intelligence, automating processes, and operational redesign. For corporate legal departments, it includes the implementation of contract lifecycle management solutions, organizational redesign, and data-driven management.

The firm also has a line of digital products, Bredia Labs, available to clients under a licensing model.

“Law firms and teams that do not adopt artificial intelligence and automation in the coming years will face increasing difficulties in responding to the demands of their stakeholders. Bredia exists to be the catalyst for that transformation,” says Daniel Acevedo, CEO and founder of the firm.
