Chile’s Eluchans appoints two new partners

Tzu-Hsin Shen is a law graduate of the University of Chile and holds an LLM from Tsinghua University in Beijing. After serving for two years as a consultant to Eluchans Abogados, he now joins as a partner focusing on corporate law, M&A, and foreign investment.
Throughout his career he has participated in numerous transactions, advising large domestic and foreign companies in sectors such as mining, energy, agribusiness, real estate, construction and infrastructure, among others.
He previously served as a partner at Chilean law firm Cariola Diez Pérez-Cotapos & Cia. And served as a foreign advisor at Dacheng, Beijing (now Dentons).
“Tzu-Hsin Shen is a great connoisseur of the Chinese market and its legal and economic regulations, which gives the law firm a unique perspective and competitive advantage to advise Chilean business activities in Asia Pacific and represent the interests of companies in these markets in Chile and Latin America,” Eluchans said in a statement.
For his partm Fernando Lathrop Aubert is law graduate of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and has a master’s degree in corporate law from the same university, as well as an LLM in European, international and corporate law from the Université Jean Moulin Lyon in France.
“His appointment responds to a recognition of his merits after 13 years at the firm, where he began working as an attorney, accompanying companies and renowned families who have relied on the firm for more than 30 years, as well as to provide a fresh look at the new challenges facing the legal industry at a time of high complexity, volatility and uncertainty,” the law firm said.
“Fernando has focused his practice mainly on advising domestic and foreign clients on corporate law, real estate and infrastructure, with a focus on family companies that develop their businesses in the automotive, manufacturing, real estate, wholesale trade, entertainment and food and beverage industries, among others.”
He also serves as director at a number of local and foreign companies and non-profits.
The incorporation of the new partners is part of the firm’s continuing growth of its team and its services. During the first half of this year, renowned corporate law specialists Guillermo Malatrassi and Luis Felipe Cruzat joined the team.
