Boxengo secures over €42 million financing from Bayview

Boxengo, an Italian self-storage platform launched in October 2025 by private equity firm H.I.G Capital, has completed a financing transaction exceeding €42 million.

Boxengo, an Italian self-storage platform launched in October 2025 by private equity firm H.I.G Capital, has completed a financing transaction exceeding €42 million. The facility covers a portfolio of self-storage assets located in Milan, Rome, and surrounding areas. The funds were provided by a credit fund managed by Finanziaria Internazionale Investments SGR S.p.A., with quotas subscribed by funds linked to Bayview Asset Management.

The loan was granted to a closed-ended Italian alternative real estate investment fund managed by Savills Investment Management SGR S.p.A., whose quotas are held by H.I.G Capital. The capital is destined to partially finance the acquisition of the assets as well as CAPEX investments aimed at their valorisation.

H.I.G Capital was assisted by Baker McKenzie with a team led by partners Sébastien Marcelin Rice and Alberto Fornari, supported by senior associate Francesco Ciociola, associates Camilla Bassi and Costanza Venturi, and trainee Alice Mariani for the financial aspects. Counsel Francesco Florenzano handled tax matters. Arendt provided assistance on Luxembourg law profiles.
