EyeEm, a network for the photography, and Number26, a banking app, should feel as favoured : the two Berlin-based companies have just completed a financing round led by Valar Ventures, the capital venture firm of Peter Thiel, Paypal’s cofounder. Investor of promising start-ups such as Granify or Canopy Labs, Valar Ventures has for the first time entered the European soil. With respectively $18m and €10m, EyeEm and Number26, seem having demonstrated their ability to work.
