The new partner has experience as an attorney, professor and author of several books.
The Colombian firm announced its new partner on July 6th ‒ Carolina Deik Acostamadiedo.
She graduated law from Pontifical University Javeriana and went on to earn her master’s in law at Harvard Law School. In 2011, she became an advisor to the Minister of Justice and Law, giving advice in administrative, constitutional and international law matters. In 2014 she became an associate at Palacios Lleras, before being promoted to partnerin June of this year. Additionally, she has experience in academia, as she is a professor of public procurement and public contracts in Andes, Javeriana and Santo Tomas universities.
Additionally, she has shown her expertise as a writer, authoring books, including:
- Guía de Contratación Estatal: Deber de planeación y modalidades de contratación (2014).
- Judicial Review of Constitutional Amendments in Colombia (2014).
- Del Concepto de Validez del Derecho en la Teoría Jurídica Contemporánea (2016).
