Baba Hady Thiam, a lawyer admitted to both the Guinea and Paris Bars, has launched an independent law firm in Conakry dedicated to business: Thiam & Associates.

Thiam & Associates, situated in the capital of the Republic of Guinea, will provide business-law expertise to its Guinean, African and international clients. The firm has been set up with the hope of implementing a multidisciplinary structure in the continent of Africa, combining the quality expertise seen at international business-law firms with the agility and flexibility of an independent firm.

Accompanying clients in a full range of practice areas, from dispute resolution to tax, the firm offers a one stop shop for businesses’ legal matters. They are fluent in business law throughout the OHADA region, and offer advice beyond this region through their network of partner law firms.

Founding partner Baba Hady Thiam is accompanied by Jo?l Sanon and Mahmoud Kourouma in this venture. All three lawyers have accumulated knowledge having worked at prestigious international firms in Paris and work in both French and English – with Thiam and Kourouma also fluent in the three main Guinean dialects.

The firm are dedicated to the community in which they operate and their pro-bono work is central to their ethos.
